I read somewhere that to ward off depression and negitive thoughts you are supposed to either count or do math. This is supposed to reverse the side of the brain being used (kind of like a restart) and make you feel better....does this work for anyone?

Thanks for this, it could be worth to try. There are several ways to get rid of depression but I have never heard of this. I have experienced a change of the mood for the better when I do some creative - painting, knitting or something like that.. ....

I have not heard this from anyone before. I will surely try it next time I am having a negative thought process. Sometimes I know that I need to just think of something different, but can't get out of a vicious thought cycle. It is very frustrating! I hope this works for me. Thanks for the tip. ;D

Hi Allie_xoxo, I've never heard of that methd but it may have some sense in some way, I mean just to get your mind out of the hole and making it do something "useful" instead should be a good thing.
