I do, in what little way i could! I help visually challenged persons to cross roads, to board a transport bus or other conveyance, offer them seat if i am occupying, give clothes etc. to organizations that help physically challenged persons in general, and the like. How about you?

Actually, believe it or not, there're some physically challenged people that don't want random help... One time, I came across blind person with seeing eye dog & when I aproached her she actually said to me, "Thank you for your offer but I can hold my own, thank you..." Which I can understand... So I told her, "ok" then left her alone... At my work, person in a wheel chair once told me on his way out the door, & he decided not to use the "automatic sliding door", I tried to open the door for the guy & he said, "Thank you but I'm ok..." I agree, that in most cases, people will accpet help, but other times, they have gracefully decined... I usually ask, as do many people, before helping, like I would do with any other person, physically cnallenged or not... At my previous job, I've seen a guy trying to carry out a 32" t.v... He seemed to be in a need of help so I offered & he gracefully accepted... That's that...

What do you mean 'visually challenged'? if the person can't see they are blind, if their eyesight is below a particular level , but they can still see (to different degrees) they are called 'legally blind'. If you use the term 'Hearing challenged' to a person who cannot hear, you run a very high chance of insulting them, as they will say i'm not 'challenged, im bloody deaf! Kudos for doing what you can when it's called for, but please, consider the best we can all do is not take pity, not look for the differences but look for the similarity we all share. Why do I say this? IBesides being a Disability Support worker for many years, I am also losing hearing, work with blind, deaf, and those with intelectual and or physical disabilities. We keep in mind these, but concentrate on the can do's, and find other ways around the 'cant's' P,L,&MBs

Yes I love to do that, not only for physically challenged people but also senior citizens, their satisfied face is a priceless gift.
