try using mayonnaise and leave it on your hair for 30 minutes. they say that mayonnaise was one of the tricks to make our hair shiny while others say that using an egg for our hair will also do the job

I was told to use Real Mayonnaise as a conditioner after washing it. Mind we dont have the same hair texture, so that might make a difference, or maybe it wont.

I have very thin strands of hair, baby fine. I find lots of the shampoos and conditioners that I use don't put a bit of shine on my hair, and actually weigh it down. For years I've used (about once a week) a white vinegar rinse. I take a cup and fill it about a quarter of the way full of white vinegar, and then fill the rest up with warm water. I shampoo, rinse with water, then dump the vinegar'd water over, and the rinse that out thoroughly. Then I'd only put a little conditioner just on the ends of my hair (I have shoulder length hair.) Man, does my hair shine when I do that, otherwise it looks dull and lifeless sometimes. I know you're probably thinking you'd smell like an easter egg after putting vinegar through, but really, you don't. The rinsing afterwards takes that smell away, and there is no left-over smell when your hair dries. The best thing about this is that the vinegar gets rid of all shampoo and conditioner buildup and leaves squeaky clean hair. It's worth a try even if you just try it once...vinegar is cheap, and it takes all that dulling residue away that keeps your natural hair from being shiny. It even helps those who have a little (or big) problem with dandruff. I like it, I've been doing it for years!

Well, I ust brush my hair often. I do it before sleeping and after waking up. It kind'a got as a routine now. Before, I would just brush it with my hands but, when my Tita told me to brush my hair with a real brush before using a comb, and felt the difference after doing so, I have made it a habit. Doing the hundred brush strokes isn't that hard. You just have to lose count most of the time. Most often, you've brushed you hair more than a hundred when you don't count at all. Don't use shampoo all the time when you wash your hair. Conditioners are good to maintain though..

eat avocados and nuts, and take multivitamins, and use herbal essence for dry hair and herbal essence rinse for dry hair, and do not use too hot a water. also brush your hair often to 'distribute the oil and moisture for shiny hair.
