i have just received an email stating that i have won in an online lottery. I have replied on their mail but all i have written there was "i do not believe you" and they have replied to me that i have succesfully confirmed my winnings and have also sent an attachement for a pay out form. have you ever received such emails from an unknown person? if you have what did you do about it?

If I won every lottery and prize award that I have received an email for, I would have all the money in the world!!! Those emails are scams, and NEVER give them any of your personal information. Delete those emails, send them to the spam folder, but don't believe them!

never open them, in fact report them. That way the senders can get discovered hopefully.

Well, pretty much no! They are scams and scams and scams. Period. I am not saying that they can never be true but the chance is quite low that it is true. It is likely to be a pathetic scam out to rip you and cheat you of your money. Beware!!

I did also received such email when I sign-up to one particular site,I huess it is something like free draws,so I played around with the email open it up and you know what it will open a page showing your name and the money you have but the status besides your name is "not yet claim" while the other people name on the listing have status "claimed".Ok here is the SCAM start, they will ask you to pay some money for the processing.DON'T do that, that is the SCAM they have.Thanks.

I receive such type of email almost everyday. I don’t believe I would have such good luck to win a lottery so frequently. How can a person likes me who have never bought any foreign lottery would have the chance to win such a grand prize I know very well what they actually expect from me is the processing fee or other commission or some sort like this. Once you have sent the money then you will find that they will disappear without any sign. Normally they work on human psychology. Those who are greedy definitely couldn’t stand the strong temptation and then eventually fall into the trap easily.

They are scam emails. They want you to pay a percentage to get the full amount, you wire them the money and that's it. Sometimes they tell you they need even more money for transfer fees etc. Just delete them and move on.

I'll only believe it's true if it is reported on the newspaper! And there'll be lots of reporters come to my house to congratulate me! I received once before telling me I won a nice KIA car but I have to pay this and that - about 4K plus pounds! So, of course it's a scam. Don't trust!

An email "I have won in An Online Lottery" is scam, because lottery company never do sending email notification. I did receive such lottery email couple times, they said that I have won the lottery, of course, I don't trust what they said because I never know them and I never buy or visit their site how I get the entry. Basically, I send them "Is it true?" respond to them, but they just keep saying I have won the lottery and wanting my information to claim the prize. I just ignore it. After few days, they just gone. Just ignore them!
