my six year old son has behavioural problems, and wants to eat continuously, its almost as if he cant stop.from being a baby i have had problems with him.He was born with hypospadia and then when he started to walk he had to lick everything in sight, lamposts, walls, his hands, anything and everything, then he weed and pood all over his bedroom from age 3-4,smearing it up the walls,i cant take him to the shops without loosing him and if i turn my back he eats everything in sight,he could eat a whole cuboard full of chocolate and not feel sick.i wonder if he might have prada willi syndrome.what should i do,im so tired of wondering whats wrong with him.what should i do?

I am sorry to hear about your son behavior, but do you sit down and talk with him. I know that he is only six but these six years old are very intelligent. Sometimes children think that they are be neglecting and then they start to do things that will draw attention unto him/her. Maybe discussing this problem with a pedatrican will help you cope with his behavior.

There is a condition in which people do not get that signal when they've had enough to eat. They literally always feel hungry. I don't know if there is a treatment for it but they do have to be closely monitored because they will eat anything and everything. Talk to his doctor, this is not meant to sound rude but obviously something is wrong with your son and you both need help to deal with it. Just curious...you can even PM me if you'd rather...how severe was his hypospadia? Did you correct it? What was the prcedure and recovery like?

have you taken him to a doctor? i don't know anything about prada willi syndrome. but i can't believe he's done all that and you maybe haven't even taken him to a doctor. i would take him right away so that they can get it under control. you don't want it to get out of control and him be so overweight it affects his health.

i would start with taking your son to see the gp altho i wouldnt take there sole word for things as i am strugglin at the moment with my gp and my son as he has sever behavioural problems but my gp is saying it is just bad behaviour and nothing else. But i would certainly take him and also contact your health visitor too, keep persiting with the doctors if they refuse to test your son as you know him best and if you think he has a problem they the liklehood is that he has one, good luck hunni and i hope you get something sorted soon.
