Don't you just hate it when the T.V. channel is being turned while watching?

I hate it when someone turns the channel as I am watching the T.V. It is very rude.. And impolite. They should at least tell you that they are about to turn rather than just turn it while you are watching it. Has this happened to you before?

Hi cream97! Yes, I agree with you that it is rude to do that. The only time that has happened to me is when I am so serious in watching a movie then, my hubby will see how focused I am and he will tease me by changing the channel. Oh, I will just end up running after him and pinching him on his butt. haha..Those are the only times that it happens to me. But when he is not in the joking mood, he won't even bother me at all and let me watch what I want to watch and he will just wait for his turn on the tv. haha.. Take Care and God Bless!

yes, i have experienced it and i think it's very unethical. i hate it especially when someone change the channel and the show i am watching interest me. i won't feel bad if they ask permission or even just tell me that they are going to change the channel.

Yes, that does irritate me to no end. When I am watching television, I generally do not even change the channel during the commercials. I don't see how they follow more than one program because they will miss some of both.

Yes I also hate it and my husband has a habit of changing the channels continuously. He use to browse all the channels with out stick on a channel for more than one minute. This some times irritates me. But he will not interfere when I watch something seriously.

It is indeed very much irritating. Actually my elder brother does it so frequently whenever he stays at home. Fortunately at present he does not stay at home for most of the time and also I do not watch TV that much. So the problem has reduced a lot.

yea,i have family members that do this.i usually make them change it back.they don't seem to realize how rude it is to just walk in a room and change it while somebody's obviously watching a program already.

Nobody in my house would ever do that to another person here. The adults would not even do this to the kids. This is rude and very disrespectful of another human being. It's like saying "you are not worth my effort to notice" or "I don't care enough about you to care that you are using this". I have not had this happen, at least not in the last 18 years I have been married to my husband, because we would never even think of doing such a thing to each other.

My finace will do that all the time or he will say pass the channel. Usually though he will just change it. He says sometimes I watch too much baseball and he needs a change ;) Men should atleast ask . I'm cool with flipping to see the score.

It did and I also think that was rude. For me, I wouldn't mind if they want to change the channel as long as they ask everyone who's watching if it's ok to change it. Manners are involved here, even if you're just watching TV shows. Everyone has to respect everybody else so that we could go along fine.

Many times, and it's maddening. I finally gave up. He couldn't watch anything all the way through without flipping through the channels. I have no idea why people do that, they must always be on the lookout for something better.

You got that right! Nothing seems to beat the built of frustration I experience the moment my sister suddenly transfers the channel... And to top it all of, the movie's just reached the climax!
