I've been smoking since I was in my 2nd year high and so year after the other I always promise myself to quit. So as always!!! promises were always broken. Now that im in my adulthood I've grown tired of making that promise or that so called new years resolution. Perhaps I'll stop if I've hit the jacpot Lung Cancer... nah! Well people say that unless you got sick or an accident hits you! (not that im asking for it!)that person will change.
So if ever any of you guys or gals got some secret on How to quit cigars? please do share!!!

I'm plagiarizing my response to another "smoking" discussion I made quite a long time ago. I hope it helps you too.
"Try to taper down slowly (ie smoke less per day until you finally achieve complete remission)to avoid withdrawal symptoms such as nausea and stress. If you have tried that but still can't seem to stop smoking, you can try some alternative withdrawing therapies available such as nicotine replacement patches, nicotine chewing gums and a medication called bupropion. These alternative therapies can be obtained at the pharmacy. Good luck in your quest to stop smoking, and I certainly hope you do since smoking is indeed bad for health (eg. can lead to cancers and many cardiovascular and respiratory diseases)!

Yeah, give it a try and inform me about how it goes....as a pharmacy student, I'm pretty interested to know too how my recommendations affects my patients. I just love dealing with real-life scenarios of health problems!
