Recent hike in the price of crude oil has brought drought and increased the crisis day by day. No matter how much price the Gov. increases, our country's oil corporation is always in loss. Besides that we had to stay in queue for more than 10 hours just to fill up 5 litres of petrol ... oh what a chaotic situation it is? From today onward in the neighboring country like India the rate has gone up by 10% per litre in petrol, 6% in deisel and additional 50Rupee in LPG gas. Now its a high time we shall start thinking about alternative source of energy. How about in your place? How is the situation?

Are you sure the oil corporation losing? I believe it's only on paper. I suspect there's arrangement with the external audit report. Otherwise I may conclude that their operation equipment prices/costs has doubled. So, I suggest to investigate the supplier to that company and what's their major operating materials. No doubt there are increase in metal recently, but the increase in metal shouldn't cause the oil price double or triple. So, there must be some other element that taking advantage from the increase of the metal by adding it in the oil prices.

Huh! That true sad story. How if the investors in that corporation withdraw their investment and invest it in profitable business? What will happen to your country when nobody want to run petrol station? Government must bear some costs what ever the situation is. Otherwise better don't do that business.

Well am from India...and i dun think life would be miserable after a price hike....ppl like to make a big deal out of such issues...but what about the oil corporations which are losing millions ???....price hike was round the corner and inevitable....though it mite affect the govt. here....but it had to be done..... what should be done is that the bloody ministers who ride in free cars which run on free petrol should be made to pay for their luxuries.... I dun think its such a big deal...u cant do anything bout it...can u ??...so i think ppl should move on....now ..havnt v witnessd so many price hikes....??....wen i startd driving....ie in '98...the rate wz around rs 30 a lt....so...i think...all v need to do is move on.... Have a nice day !

... like will surely be miserable for us, indeed it already has. Certainly, it is now unavoidable and unevitable fact that prices of fuels should go up ... but the consequenses again will be bared by lame people ... those is the post has all the facilities and subsidiaries ... but for lower class and middle class poeple ... they are suffering and gonna suffer more ... yes, you are right, there is no other option than just move on ... rather drag on yourself. Thanx!!!

This will be a topic that will be spoken on for a long time and right now prices are not getting lower. Just going up. There is more to the story than what they are telling the people that have to buy gas everyday.

yes, you are absolutely right ... the topic is heating up parliament, and government ... and as per history, it will heat up the street as well ... we had very bad experience whenever price hiked.

Here in Europe it's almost ridiculous. Before you could fill up your tank when it was really empty for 40 €, now it's close to 65€. It's just ridiculous. Sometimes I think we'd be better without a car.

... I could get fuel in black market only ... and had to pay 150% higher than the regular price. Offcourse now time to think about alternatives.
