Now that Obama is the "presumed" nominee, do you suppose he will fall under the normal scrutiny of the press instead of being the favorite cinderella! Here is an article that shows some of the things that should be scrutinized!

The press is liberal.
Obama is liberal and a democrat.
McCain is liberal and a republican.
The liberal press liked McCain as long as he had conservative opposition.
As soon as McCain became the last republican standing, the liberal press threw him under the bus.
McCain is more conservative than Obama.
The liberal press like Obama, who is a liberal democrat and therefore the liberal Press' best friend.
The liberal press is not about to throw Obama under the bus, so the answer is "NO"

They threw him under the buss when he stopped being their little darling, and Obama showed up.
Did you forget that the Times was really infatuated with him at one point... right up until the time he became the last republican with a chance to win?
They gave him a lot of positive media coverage... a free pass... until the liberal press had the man that they wanted to oppose Obama and Hillary... and then they turned on him and that is when they threw him under the bus.
Your memory is getting awfully bad annie.... but then your memory has been quite selective for a while now.

You really didn't answer my question. How did they throw him under the bus? What unfair, untrue negative reporting has been done about McCain in the press? He's gotten a free pass, when he makes a gaffe if we hear about it one time it's a miracle, his good friend and campaign co-chair, former Senator Phil Gramm's word as a lobbyist has gotten no mention by the press whatsoever other than on one show I saw.

Welcome back to Earth, my friend! Or by "do you suppose he will fall under the normal scrutiny of the press" do you mean will he be treated with some semblance of fairness instead of the cherry-picking of every word he says, the scrutiny of everyone who is involved with anyone he was ever associated with a la "the six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon"?

"How many of the rookie mistakes that he has stumbled through could Hillary or McCain gotten away with like Obama has?"
McCain has already made plenty of "rookie" mistakes that were all but ignored by the press. Someone whose strength is foreign policy should not have mixed up Sunni and Shiite four or five times and he shouldn't have mistakenly - or was it an out and out LIE - said the troops had been drawn down to pre-surge levels.

Annie,
You've got to admit that the press has handled Obama with kid gloves so far! How many of the rookie mistakes that he has stumbled through could Hillary or McCain gotten away with like Obama has? Zero! I still don't understand it, he is inexperienced to say the least, he has paid absolutely NO "dues" and yet he is the darling of the DNC after just one third of a term in the senate! I still don't and will never get it! Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why? Oh, he talks a good game but I know fifth graders that are great orators but could they lead a country? I'm still looking for him to put some real substance behind his rhetoric of "change"! He just might do that if he gets elected but you can bet your bottom dollar he won't until he does get elected!

Rodney do you really have to ask the question. Will how the sake of this dicussion I will do my part to answer the obvious question. The answer that you are searching for is a big fat NO! The media goes to bed with Obama. Under no circumstance will the media ever discuse anything from your website.
