Have you give this book to your kids? Do you let they travel in the wonderful and fantastic world of fantasy with Alice?

I love books and fortunately so do my grandchildren. I have many of the older books that are great reading. I encourage my grandchildren to dream.Without dreams the world would be a boring place. People would not get to the places they wish to be without imaginations and dreams. When the children are "bored" I suggest that they use their imagination to find something to do. No video games or tv. THye come up with some really good things at times.

Hi moondancer. I agree with you that without dreams life would be boring. My daughter read many books when she was a child and I want to do the same with my granchildren. Exercice the imagination is the best way to develop intelligence. Thanks for your reply my friend.

When I was about 7 years old my nan gave me a full-blown Alice in Wonderland book. It was about two inches thick (not the shortened childrens version you get) and I used to read it through and when I got to the end I would start all over again. I can still remeber some of the rhymes that are in there like "how doth the little crockodile" and "twinkle twinkle little bat". Truly amazing, wonderful and imaginative. Unfortunately this book was distroyed in a house fire and would love to find another.

I don't have a kid yet but if I have, I will definitely give this as a gift to my kid. I'd like my kid to value reading as I do. I actually haven't Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid. I just read it, I think last year. I find the story very entertaining. It is one of the most imaginative setting and characters that I have ever encountered.

I gave a different Alice in Wonderland version to my kid cousin. I think the original is a bit hard to understand to I choose a version with simplified storyline.
