How much do you NEED your mobile phone.

I used to always have a mobile as part of a job I had. When I finished up, I put the phone in a drawer and never used it again (yes it was mine not a company mobile). How important is a mobile to you. If you went out for the day and left it at home would you not worry about it, fret a little, or have to go home and get. Some people don't seem to be able to exist without a mobile. To me it's just another bill I don't need.

My mobile phone is very important to me, but only because I have no land line. A few years ago my phone was stolen. Previously I thought the cell phone was such silly burden to carry around, but when I didn't have it I felt cut off and jittery. It took three weeks to get it replaced and I cried with happiness when I finally recieved a new phone. Hopefully I will get a land line soon and I'll get to see if I can live without the cell. I like to think I can.

It's important for me. In my job, I need to use the mobile phone usually. When the company have a meeting, the customer want you for something and so on, that you must do it quickly. Also the mobile phone can take you share your live with your friends or family who is far from you. Now the mibile phone have more functions. For example, listion musics, watch movies, play games, take pictures......anything you want. It is adequate for modernist.

There was a time in my life that I really felt like I was incomplete when my mobile phone isn't with me. I had to bring it everytime and everywhere because this was only the communication me and my boyfriend used to have. It even came to a point that I should bring it even when I'm in the washroom attending to my personal hygiene. I have to admit that it really gave me problems because our bill reached more than eight thousand pesos or approximately 186 US dollars since it was a postpaid line. But all of this is different now. My boyfriend then is actually the man I married and our marriage is running for five years now. I could live without a mobile phone now and somehow, I felt that the chains on my neck and our budget had been quite loosened. You're right in saying that having a cellular phone is just a waste of money. Sometimes I even would think that in matters of the heart, letters are more romantic because in today's high tech world, text messaging is being used to court a woman or no courtship at all. Although in offices, it's definitely hard to cope up with the specifications of one's job without the help of a mobile phone.

One of the times I really miss having a cell phone is when I want to send my love a text message and see what his reply would be. Alas...but he promised me that when we're finally together, he'd continue to do for me what I've always loved: write.

I have a prepaid cellphone with tons of minutes on it because I don't seem to use them up and they rollover. I like having a cellphone with me in case of an emergency, but if I forget it (which I do quite a bit) I don't worry about it. I have a land line and that is the number I give out. Only a few people have my cellphone number. When I am out and about I don't want the thing ringing from people who just want to chat. There is nothing ruder than having dinner with someone and their phone rings so they not only answer it, but chat. Meanwhile you sit there like an idiot waiting for them to finish. I have two family members and a good friend famous for this. It has gotten to the point I don't hang out with them much because of it. I think cellphones have created a new type of rudeness in society and I don't like it. If I clear my schedule to do something with someone it is because I want to spend that time with them, not listening to them talk to someone else. I understand cutting the wire. My two family members work so much they both have done so because they are never home. I just think people need to use voice mail more and step away from the cellphone...lol.

I ahve to agree about mobiles in public places, particularly dining out. Nothing seems to slice through enchanting banter with loved ones or friends than someone's mobile going off.

I used to go crazy without my cell phone but now I only use it to call my mom if needed and talk to my boyfriend on the phone. My boyfriend is getting rid of his cell phone so I'm probably going to get rid of mine, I mean I dont really need it. I have a house phone for if I want to talk to anyone on it and like I said, I only talk to my boyfriend and mom and well... I can just talk to my boyfriend online or whatever and my mom? well she can just call my house phone lol. So I guess I dont really need it.

At one point of my life, my cell phone was my 11th finger, it was always with me. I had it to take pictures, make videos, call people, surf the internet, text message, store numbers, make memos and the most important...listen to music. With the music and pictures, I was able to transfer them from computer to phone and vice versa. I've never had one that was able to do that. Alas, when I left my ex, he cut off my cell phone service. At first, I thought I was lost in the waters. But, I got used to it. I still have the phone...but I use it for everything but phone calls and texting. Would I like to have service again? sure! you willing to pay? *lol* JK

11th finger - lol. Between the home line and email I am as connected as I need to be but I admit it would be good for photos and data storage.

I must my mobile phone beside me at any time unless I'm at place where having my mobile phone with me is inappropriate or may damage it.

I'll be ok if I left my cellphone at home. It's not the most important think in my life. There is still a landline, if I need to contact my family. I don't worry so much about the bill because I have a pre paid phone. I only bought pre paid card when it's really necessary. I have the phone so work can call me. Also the family can call me in case of emergency. In case I forgot it I'm gonna miss it's camera in cases there something historic or beautiful that came up and you need to take a snapshot. Cellphone is getting a lot of features, it is becoming and entertainment and communication devices. It has the capability of a small laptop computer now. So it looks like it's going to be here a logn time.

I need it all the time. In fact I keep it with me most of the time. When I go out, I must carry it. When I go to sleep, it is still beside me. I love China

The cell phone is not so important to me now since I am so unimportant and nobody ever calls me except for my wife. However, there are times when I have to meet somebody and the cell phone becomes very important and I make sure that it is loaded (I have a prepaid phone) so I can respond usually by text message.

So far, mobile phone is not that important to me. I am still a student and don't need to wait for the "work calls". Besides, I don't use them often to call people. We use text messages instead. Before, I go out without the mobile phone. I think doing so I don't have to worry about it being stolen. Now, I take it with me when I go out, thinking that it would be better to have a phone in case something happens.

I will be totally lost if I don't have my mobile phone with me when I am not home. I have lost of information saved there including bank account numbers, addresses and others. That is also our mean of communication in the family. About the bill, this is not a big problem here in our country. All network companies here already offer prepaid subscription so monthly bill is not a worry...

I always have cell. phone near by for that cell. phone is the only way I communicate with people... There were times I really didn't care to have it with me but for past 15 years or so, give a take a little, I've always had it with me... Went through a lot of different model & providers as well...

I think this is interesting, because I used my mobile phone for my home phone. All my information I use for my mobile for my home phone because I live with another relative. I don't want to bother them as much. They are a bill but I do use it for my needs.
