Subprime mortgage crisis

Are it things getting better in USA? has the worst passed yet? or everything seems normal, nothing wrong. It has been big news in overseas, but I just want to know if it is really that big in USA.

The real problem is hiding. The policy makers are hiding the real problems and trying to act as if nothing has happened

Is that true a lot of people lost their home? How about groceries price, has it gone up or down? Has is it effected anyone of you?
