I have read about a thousand posts about Obama and Hillary v/s Mcain. Everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs that Obama is or isnt this or that! Or that Mcain willbe just another four years of Bush?
Do any of us really believe we no one D@&n thing about any of these candidates? Do you think because there is a website or news release that you can trust one word? The media is in love with Obama the whole country hates Bush, blah, blah, blah!! I am sick of it all! I doubt you will know what any candidate will do before he gets in there and does it!
Whoever you are listening too is gonna blow smoke up your hind parts because he or she wants to be elected. Period. History has shown us that much. While I am at it why is anyone who took history surprised that someone lied to get us into the war in Iraq? Have we been in an armed conflict that wasnt started by lies or stretching of the truth? The answer is no, with the exception of the civil war, almost every conflict was started by propaganda!
Ok I feel better now, rant over
. Sorry just was about to blow.

Yes, it is very true. When Bush got into the seat years ago, the people who voted for him thought that he would do a good job, but then all hell broke lose. Young women and men were dying, left to right.. So, yes we don't know what the truth is, until we let them all take a stand. We have to just wait and see.

Great point. Although I didn't vote for Bush either time I thought he'd be a lousy President because his dad wasn't so hot and because I didn't agree with him on the issues but even I never would have dreamed he'd screw things up as bad as he has. It didn't take long either, did it?

It's true, none of us can see into the future, or at least I know I can't but all we can do is be as informed as possible and vote according to what we know and what our instincts, our hearts, our minds, whatever tells us. I know a vote for McCain would be most likely a "100 year war" or at least it will seem that way, and his economic plan is being formulated by lobbyists whose interests lie with the mega-banks, so I think that pretty much speaks for itself. Plus a health care plan that will "cost less" for most but the elderly and sick will just have to pay more. They can't pay for it NOW and he wants them to pay more so the savings can be passed along to the healthy people. HUH???

I guess my question is this, how do you know it would mean a hundred years war? Or really is there any way to just pull out of Iraq as the other candidates have said? I am thinking that there is no way we can just up and leave, but I am not a combat expert. Where is the evidence of this health care plan.. ie.. the plan itself? or where was it talked about? My point being we really only know what we hear on tv right? How is it being spun and by whom?
I would like to just see a black and white printed copy of what any of the candidates have voted for and against, pure and simple here is what I have done or not done. I would like that wouldnt you?

Annie--
Ok I will look at the health care plan on the site but we all know he is not the only hand responsible for making it a reality.
As for the sites that tell us how they voted are they commentary on the votes or a simple here is the bill and here is how they voted? I found one like that called Gov Tracker but to be honest I couldnt tell you from the bills text what the heck it had to do with anything. For example my Rep voted yay on H.R. 6124, I tried to read the bill and all I can say is huh?
I have the solution!! Lets make all government offices voluntary in nature ie.. they dont get paid! We will weed out those who have an agenda real quick!
