Last year my hubby bought me a 36 inch hd ready tv. It was an anniversary gift. So when I watch a movie I like to watch it on the tv with my dvd player. Plus,it is easier to get an almost 5 yr old to sit with me in front of it than a smaller computer screen.

I will watch them on both depending on which one I choose to watch it on. For a majority of the time I use the dvd player for my T.v. is much bigger than my computer screen. My computer screen is 22" and the tv is 32".

We use to play our DVD films on our players but, as time went on, the player got picky with the titles that it can play, sometimes it would play a film and other times, it won't even though its the same DVD anyway. We could play DVDs on some Video gaming console that we have and its plugged with the component and the TV so it kind'a goes along with the living room experience of watching a film. We also watch some films on the computer, laptop or desktop. However, its quite difficult on computers since there isn't enough space for anyone interested in watching.

When going HD, aside from the display, your player as well as the film mediums should also be HD compatible.. Even though we already have a big screen television, our players can't play HD films but, those would all come in due time.

I usually watch my dvds on a dvd with my tv. I've got a nice 16:9 HDTV so i really prefer to watch on the tv. Sometimes though its nice to take advantage of the 5.1 surround sound my computer has to watch a dvd on my computer.

I'll probably watch dvd's on my pc if I'm doing something else. Multi-tasking. Then again, I still use my dvd player once in a while. For relaxation purposes. I'll lay on my couch, turn the TV and player on, play the movie and eat something. Hehe. I can't do that in front of my pc. Besides, our TV screen is bigger than my monitor. ^^

I do not have a DVD player in my apartment so I tend to watch DVDs on my computer. If I am really in the mood to watch it on my television screen then I just play it through my Playstation although this is not my first choice since the controls are funky on the Playstation. I can never remember which buttons do what.

I used to use my playstation but it started to play them bad, a darker screen and other problems. I heard that it ruins something in it, which it did end up breaking about 3 months after the screen was acting funny. That is on the Playstation 2, I guess Playstation 3 is better.

My DVD player broke recently, so I've been watching all my movies on a laptop. I find it quite annoying because the screen is so small and it does have the same sound quality as a television would. Time for a new DVD player!

I can watch DVDs on my computer but I don't. I prefer to watch them on my TV (Which has a screen about the size of my computer monitor) but my DVD player is so crap. It is terrible. If you watch anything for more than about 1 hour - 1 hour and a half, it skips like mad!

I am on the computer all the time doing many things, but I don't think I could sit and watch a movie here, just like I can't read an e-book. I suppose if I had a laptop and could sit comfortable on the couch or in my bed and watch, it would be more similar to TV, but I really don't see that happening (since I have the TV right there anyway). But no, I couldn't sit here in the office on my big desktop and watch a movie.

I will watch a DVD on my laptop when traveling but at home I prefer to watch DVDs on the television. I have however been known to go to NBC or CBC and watch the video on demand for a tv show i missed the night before on the laptop. I prefer the tv as it has better sound quality my laptop is very quiet.

Hello There! Yup, I watch DVD from my laptop computer especially when I am too lazy to go in the living room and watch there with the DVD player. I just stay in my room and watch DVD using my laptop. Cheers!

I do watch dvd's on my laptop. I don't have a dvd player right now, it's in the repair shop. But I find it practical and convenient for me coz, I don't have to plug 2 appliances at the same time.

I do watch DVD's occasionally on the computer. It makes for less stress in the house. When I sit down to watch something, others think it's time to bother Mom and not let her relax. Since I was able to figure this out, I began watching shows that I missed online rather than recording them on the VCR. Since then, our VCR has gone out.. so I stick to online viewing. The DVD's was a given since I'm usually having to stop watching for one reason or another, and none of the remotes work with our DVD player. Viewing at the computer was the only logical option.

Hi, I prefer to watch it on PC as it's more convenient for me and I don't have to compete with my siblings for the TV and DVD player!

My DVD player is very fussy about which DVDs it will play, so I am gradually migrating to watching all DVDs on my pc. I enjoy it more even though its on a smaller screen, don't know why.
