Reckless Driving

I was so saddened to watch the news on TV last night. It was a vehicular accident involving a drunk driver which cost the life of a security guard just simply performing his night shift on a company's warehouse. According to news accounts and testimonies of a witness, the security guard just sat there on a makeshift outpost outside the gate of the warehouse when a Honda Civic rumpaged the area crushing his body against the wall. The most terrible part of it is when, because of his severe drunkenness, the driver negates the fact that he killed that person. How could people be so reckless when they drive? Are they forgetting that other lives might also be involved because of their stupidity? "When you drive, don't drink; when you drink, don't get DRUNK and don't DRIVE!"

I agree with you one hundred percent, and I cant stand when people drive drunk, because they can kill people, and why is it that if a drunk driver has a wreck, they can total there car,but they usually seem to be perfectly unscaved?I think there should be tougher penalties for drunk drivers, and that is one of the reasons I refuse to drink.
