any suggestions on how to get my pet schnauzer to drink liquids? She was diagnosed with bronchitis, and put on several different antibiotics. Since then she seems to only get worse. I've taken her back to the vet, which confirms that her throat is very swollen and most likely sore. Therefore, the reason that she won't eat/drink. I'm just hoping to find some way to get her to stay hydrated w/o an IV. ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO GET HER TO DRINK???

You could put drops of water on her nose for her to lick off. It won't keep her very hydrated but may help. My vet has injected fluids under my dogs skin before to hydrate them instead of using an IV. That may be an option.
