In rememberance of Bobby Kennedy

Today is a day of rememberance for the Kennedy family and many supporters of the Kennedy family. 40 years ago today Bobby Kennedy was assasinated.
I had just mentioned Bobby in another discussion recently without even realizing how long ago it was that he and his brother were with us standing for change. They were full of ideas the world did not want- much like Obama seems to be these days.
Let's all have a moment of silence when reaching this discussion in honor of Robert (Bobby Kennedy and remember all that he stood for and the great man he was.
Where you around when Bobby was shot? Where were you? Do you remember what you were doing?

He was a brilliant man! I've had the pleasure of meeting his son about a month ago! His son is very nice and personable, the baby and I GOT our picture taken with him. He was very patient, because the camera kept messing up!I was at a hilary campaign
The Kennedy's will be in my prayers today!

I would Love to post it! Its not on my computer though and I dont have a scanner. I'll have to do it a later time. I have a laptop!
Its a cute picture though! She stared at him like she was mesmerized lol

warmweatherwoman Here is a copy of the picture that I took with my cell phone so it is a little blurry,but still can make it out. My darling granddaughter in the middle, so that makes it my daughter holding her!

Wow- so you were not only alive at that time- but at an age where you could have fully understood the magnatude of what was happening. May I ask if you remember how you felt about it? Were you a fan of the Kennedy's?

I was born in 1961. I was 7 when he was assasinated, so I don't really remember much about it. My mom however always admired the Kennedys and spoke about it often.

I was not alive during either of these two brother assasinations- BUT - my mother still recounts the day as if it were yesterday when JFK was shot. She still remember sitting at her school desk when the announcement came over the loud speaker...She said - much like 9/11 for us- The world just seemed to stop at that moment.
