I just read this and thought it's of value
so thought I'd pass it on to you all.
I am of the 'spend less' mindset
rather then the 'make tons more money' mindset
I mean..it's nice to make more but
we get caught up with the 'more you make the more you spend'
and where does it end.
I hope yopu enjoy this:

I have no money to speak of, living on disability and not even having enough money to make ends meet, so yes I am frugal, I do not have any other choice but to be.

Hi raydene! I have read the link you have provided and I completely agree with the article written. My husband and I used to have much income before and have enjoyed much savings too. We were kinda secured that time but things began to turn 360 degrees for us. Our business closed due to the economic instability of our country and small businesses like ours were forced to close down. Anyway, because we have not lead an extravagant lifestyle, we had more than enough savings to at least give us a decent life for almost 5 years. However, things really didn't picked up from our status and we are still trying to survive. We were doing the best we can and grabbing all opportunities that come our way. We have so much less income and we can't save at the moment since all our income goes to paying bills and putting food on the table. I have lived a simple life and my needs are simple. I am not a big spender. The only extravagance I have allowed myself is to spoil my nieces and nephews before and those times are also over. In time, I know we can rise above this crisis and will still be maintaining a simple quality life.
Take Care and God Bless!

Hi raydene. I read the article and yes I like it. It makes a lot of sense. The idea of spending less, I think, is the basic foundation of saving enough for the future and ultimately attaining financial freedom. Do not spend more than what you earn, so they say. Thanks for sharing this advice.

I couldn't agree more that spending less money is a better recipe for happiness than making more. You can work all the hours there are to make money, but when do you get a chance to enjoy it? I would far prefer to work the least number of hours possible in order to meet our basic needs, and do without those things that aren't essential.
