I can honestly say that I didn't have my "dream" wedding but it was more than enough for me. The only thing that mattered was that my husband and I got married. We went to the court house and had a small ceremony with just our witnesses. For our first anniversary, I would like to have a reception to celebrate our union. What's your story?

Nope, I didnt have my "dream" wedding. We plan on getting "remarried" when we can afford to have our dream wedding. We were living in South Carolina and I really wanted my wedding on the beach at sunset.
Just seems so nice. Then we moved back to Cape Cod, MA and were still going to do the beach idea but we got married in February so it was a bit chilly.

My aunt had her dream wedding, she got married with only her husband and the in-laws in HAWAII on the beach. My grandparents are deceased, so she didn't want a big wedding.

I haven't had my dream wedding yet, but it is coming up this fall!
My husband and I went to the courthouse and eloped right before he had to leave for Iraq, so now that he just got back home, we are going to have the big church wedding that we never got to have last year. So, I didn't get to have my dream wedding when we actually got married, but I really feel like the wedding that I'm planning for this fall really will be my dream wedding.

The exact same thing happened to Walker and I. We had to get married at the court house, because we wanted to get married right away, (we needed to because of the governments of our two countries, and travelling back and forth). We are going to have a reception up here in Canada, in a few months. We got married in Arizona, where he's from.

My hubby and I didn't have a our "dream" wedding either. We married at the courthouse over 15 years ago with my mom,dad and a few wedding guests. It would have been alot more if we did have the blizzard of '93 in PA! We did have a dream reception though. I still tear up when I look at our pictures. I can still say that even though it wasn't our dream wedding, we have our dream marriage.
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

I'm getting married in alittle over a month. I'm really not sure if it'll be my dream wedding or not. I'm getting married to the man I love and thats all that matters. My future husbands mom really wanted us to have a "church" wedding. So I'm getting married in her church by her pastor and I'm not really a fan of that. I wanted to be married outside by my father about a month ago. Not waiting to have it at a church I really don't ever want to go to. But I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and be happy about it. Because all that matters is I'm marrying the man I love. :) I do have my dream dress though!
