So far, I've learned that my Maxie doesn't really want to run away --- he only wants to be out for an hour or so. When he's through watching bugs and birds, he's ready to go back inside, especially if he happens to be nearby and hears his name called. Of course, I'm still a little worried. I wished he'd be an indoor cat sooner than later. My other cats are all indoor cats.

i am learning that gumby is a whiner. he whines until i opened a door to a room because he wanted to go in there. i needs to explore everything and everywhere. but i am keeping him inside. i have more peace of mind if he stays indoor always. i guess that is how he talks. sometimes he just comes to me, taps me and says meow to follow him, usually for food or water.

My cat loves the out doors, her name is tiger and is 14 years old. she sleeps all day and goes out side for a day or two. Sure she might fight once or twice a month protecting her territory-never gets hurt. Mine will get a mouse and bring in the house via doggy door and let It go and will play with It. My wife and children hate this, But a cats a cat. So In your case not so bad

I've learned that although she understands English perfectly, she only understands it when it benefits her. Words like no, get down or quit she doesn't understand. Words like tuna, treat, vet and night night she does. I've learned that any box, regardless of shape, size or orgin...is hers. It doesn't matter if it's a shoebox, tissue box or a long sonic coney box...if it's square she'll wedge her butt into it. I've learned that this is her apartment and we are merely her keepers. She goes where she wants, when she wants, does what she wants and pretty much rules the place. She has many defenses for when we try to stand up to her such as biting, wrapping around our ankles when we walk, dropping a bomb in her litter box that would desicrate Iraq by the mere smell or leaping from our headboard to the center of our chests while we are sleeping. It's easier to go along. Regardless of all these things we love her to pieces and wouldn't have her any other way. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I think a cat that has been mostly an outside cat like before you took him under you wing he will most likely always want to go outside. At least he is coming back though.

All ours are indoor only, thank goodness. Some run away when the door is opened -- away from the door. Ours watch birds and such from inside. Everyday I'm learning how much Peaches will allow me to interact with her. She's very smart. She always turns around when I call her name and often responds to go finish your breakfast.

My youngest cat Jake, likes to put his dry food into the water bowl. My oldest cat Scoots, does not like to be petted, but she will cuddle up with me on my blanket.

I am trying to tame and hopefully catch 3 kittens that are at my neighbors. And when I go to feed them, the momma eats most of it but the kittens come to see what she is doing and so they eat too. Just a few minutes ago, I went over to feed them and the boldest one who I am already sure is a Tom cat, comes over to where his mother is eating and takes his little tiny paw and pushes his mother's face away from the food so that he can have it. And the neat thing was that she let him do it. So I am learning what their personalities are going to be like, bold, shy, feisty, calm and so on. It is great fun for me to watch animals.
