Does anyone use Vonage for telephone service?

i was going to switch to it a few years ago but i found the price to start up too high but they may have come down in price.. i know the reason i wanted to do it was to save money since i didnt have any lol.. so starting up having to put a lot money into getting it just wasnt a possibility for me

my in laws have this vonage fone and it really saves them a lot. i think they just need to connect it to their modem and all is set. we are from the philippines and they are calling their relatives in america and canada just like an ordinary local calls.

My brother-in-law and best friend use it. My brother-in law loves it and has never had any problems. My best friend likes the phone and features and of course the cost, but says their customer service is awful. It is based out of India and is just a scripted service, she said it was nearly impossible to get anyone who knew how to fix her service when it was down for almost two weeks. So there are two different opinions.

hi. i was going to get vonage. i heard from those who had it that they had a problem with it. they weren't able to call 911 when they had an emergency. they had trouble getting a dial tone to call out on other numbers. they regretted getting it. they had a hard time get back the service, they had before vonage.

I had Vonage last year for my phone service.. It was pretty good.. I plan on getting it again within this month. Verizon f'd up. So we are now going to go back to getting what we used to have.. I like the prices..
