Real strange, when I first moved into my apartment, my oldest cat Scoots, was not happy with the move, the younger cat Jake, was fine with it, new places to explore.
Well, for about 3 months, my oldest calico cat would come into my bedroom every night and go by my closet and cry.
One day when I came in from work there was a letter on my mailbox for the former tenant and someone had wrote deceased. I asked my husband if he knew that the former tenant was dead, he said yes, I asked how did he know, he told me that when he called the phone company to have our phones installed the customer service person said Oh, that is the address of Mr X who committed suicide.
the former tenant committed suicide in the attic by hanging himself. The window with the beam he used is directly above my closet. My cat sensed that something had happened there.

It's amazing how animals can sense things. I wonder if the spirit of the guy is still there or if it's just an "echo" or what ever it's called that is residual.
