The Bible to me is a love letter, since I believe in my whole heart that it is from God and it is His words, thus, I believe what is being written there is true. It is given to us men to tell of the most wonderful story of all time- Jesus. Even at this time and age, God talked to us as a friend, father and lover, He Loved us so dearly that He gave us this book to instruct, corrects us. To this makes the Bible so important to me.

Its the word of god, and that means counselling from the word of God, each and every day i get that couselling by reading it. In times of distress or some problem, its always der, the word from My God to always guide and enlighten me and also show me a way out of it. I use it to apply in my daily works too, some say its old fashioned, but i never found any thing work better tahn The Bible in my life.

To me, the Bible is our instruction book for life. Anything morally we do has been done before by others. God inspired the men to write it to help us even today. I used to be atheist, the Bible is very important to me, it is a gift I can't even describe. It helps me to understand Christ who is the most important person in my life.

It's a sacred book to me. I believe that it speaks the truth but is written in such a way that people would understand it two thousand years ago so we should not take everything in it literally. The basic principles we should take to heart and try to love our fellow man. I also believe that other religions are valid. We all worship the same God under different names. The scriptures in my Bible are repeated again and again in other religions' books and sacred writings. That's one reason I respect all religions and bless every believer. I have to add a disclaimer, however. "Fundamentalists", that is, the extremists, of any religion are just whacko. Look at Islam. Normally a pretty nice set of principles, extremists are ruining the name of their religion. Likewise, Christians have people who go around burning abortion clinics instead of trying to educate people, killing doctors who perform the abortions and thus violating God's commandment. So, I love my Bible but others have their version of it and that's fine with me. I don't care what they call God. I live my life by it and other people who live their lives by their holy books are generally wonderful people I'm proud to call my earthly family.

Everything done in excess is bad. The same goes with the religion too. As far as one understands the religious scriptures, and like you said not take it literally everything is fine. But when people start to actually force religion on somebody it simply becomes evil. They are so enticed in the words that they cant see what they are doing to people, and God has never asked anyone to hurt others. Infact one should check themselves before thinking that they are doing what God has asked them to do. Live and let live, that is what we are asked to do!

I'm not going to be a hypocrite. I rarely read the bible. I probably ignore it all the time. I can probably even say it's not that important. But let me tell you about this one experience I had. I was going through a bad time. That time, I felt like I was really rejected and I was so disappointed. I felt unimportant. All I did at that time was cry and feel miserable. Then I read the Bible. I read it and just held onto it and cried while hugging it. Then I read some more. Moments later, I felt better. I felt stronger. And I got through that bad time. Not miraculous. But I have my beliefs. And I still have my faith.

The "BIBLE" is a love letter from God. Everything in the Bible is about His love, care, and concern to every human being. The Bible is the living book and we can get all the information that we need from beginning to the end. Have a nice day and God Bless You.
