How can you differentiate a migraine and a headache, is it the same?

A migraine is much more severe than a headache. Some migrains are accompanies by auras ( hues of light around objects) pulsing of the temple and complete mental shutdown in severe cases. I've known people whoes eyes would completley shut in lit areas. Increased sensitivity to light is a sure fire way to know you may be getting or having one. Prescription medication is usuallty the best thing after a professional medical checkup ofcourse. Always consult a physician.
