HP or Dell Laptop?

I had very bad experiences with HP Pavillion (see the HP = garbage discussion). They do have a working support mechanism but the people who respond in India or South America work with predefined script. If you don't fit in their script they propose the most drastic steps.

I have both and I Like my HP better, it looks nicer and it performs very good. They are both good but HP has been in the game for longer, to this DeLL can not even compare to them Dell was founded in 1984 where HP was founded 1939. So with this said HP has 45 years of more experience and they have always been known around the world for their performence and quality. Dell is like the teenager of PCs where HP is the more older,mature and experience Adult.

Well I can not compare to HP but I have used both a Dell and an IBM Thinkpad for laptops. I have had excellent luck with these. for me it is just a matter of preference. I personally own Dell's for my laptops. and the do have good support.

When you look at performance, dell is far better when compared to HP. Also, the price is cheap in Dell and you get a better configuration at a lower price in dell. The only problem with Dell is the technical support. Either you need to go for a online support or a telephone support for all issues.

I've had both. I prefer the Dell for some reason. It could also just be that it's a newer computer. When I buy my laptop it'll be a Dell.

well when you compare the two brands then i will sat that the dell is the best by far

I have had both before and I would have to say that I enjoyed my hp more so than my dell. In my opinion, hp is a better quality company and takes better care of it's customers when there is a technical issue. I felt like hp actually cared about their. I did not feel the same way about dell.
