Indian premier league will make an impact in India when the promoters do some of the things that the country complain about. I have notice you guys who write about cricket are always asking if it going to affect the one dayer's. Just remember that India is the third cricketing country to host this event. South Africa, West Indies and now India. One day and Test will always be there. Cricketing is dieing and some old time cricketers come up with this event. I just hope and pray that young people will start to gain interest in this game once more.

You have appreciate the move taken Mr.Suresh Chandra (ICL) when nobody offered anything for Indian Cricket or people at large who has no God fathers for selection.Mr.Mallya got this idea & worked out with his money from Liqours.

dear harrish Like you I also watched full series of IPL t20 matches. IPL exposed all talented new comer I think it will be easier for BCCI selectors to select new talent players for national team. In my opinion henceforth people will not be interested to watch 50 overs ODI as audience interested for instant result. pkc3000

Many people are worrying that how will they able to digest 50 over game as its twice long as Twenty20. But remember how much we enjoyed the CB series in Australia. My point is that each format has its own entertainment value. Speaking of test matches we have witnessed high pressure series between India and Australia. The biggest good thing IPL has does is to expose raw talent to the world.

I am not much fond of cricket but owing to its popularity i watched some of the matches including the finals and frankly speaking i think while imparting agressiveness it has brought the tinge of consumerism in a sacred sport.
