Ever Wonder If THIS Is As Good As It Gets?!?

Have you ever wondered or came to that point in your life where you try a lot of different things and ways to improve your situation and wonder, this is it... this is all there is. No matter how hard you try to fix your financial situation, this is the hand you were dealt... make the best with what cards you have in your hand?!? Without turning your family completely upside-down, how do you make life financially better? Of course, people, aside from winning the ever elusive lottery or hoping someone you might be related to is secretly wealthy and will leave it all to you... HA! Life is suppose to have turning points, good and bad. How do you make things better? Or do you just throw your hands up, deal with it, and HOPE at some point it will get better? Inputs / Thoughts / Suggestions? And I'm not looking for any work-at-home scams, so please don't bother. I come from a working class, with children, where every penny is already spoken for in some way or another.

Don't give up hope! Even if you strive and strive and never make it where you want to be financially, you will teach your children to work hard and never give up and you will likely pass on an ethic to the next generation that will build them up. The cycle of poverty happens when people give up and they pass that hopeless attitude on to the next generation, which passes to the next and the next... Try to review your priorities every now and then and make sure you are not shortchanging what really matters for something else. Then keep trying and keep open to a new opportunity - even look for it! I'm not saying this is your case, but I see people all the time who have a spotty job history and when asked "why did you quit this job after 6 months?" They'll say because they weren't getting paid enough. What? You have to stick with something long enough for it to pay off. A spotty job history is not going to land a stable, good-paying job. I also see shacks with TV satellite dishes on them and I know a doctor and a successful businessman with families and no TVs in the house. They believe they don't have time to waste in front of the TV. Most of the time, it's a matter of priorities and just showing up day after day to do the work. That's when opportunity comes knocking. Not when you are sitting at home watching TV thinking it will never change, but when you are out there working hard and showing the world that you mean business!

First of all, I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would be in a situation where I would be staring at poverty straight in the face, that I would go to bed with it at night and wake up to see it lying beside me in the morning. Money was very easy for me to make and I thought, let everyone make his own money. Then it hit me! Poverty right where it hurt, and clinging to me like a crazed monkey. Money stopped for me and I became helpless. I tried everything including the lottery, as you mentioned. Nothing worked. We survived but just barely. For many years we lived on the charity of many people until these friends and relatives became sicker of our situation than we were.
