Being an animal lover means that you should not eat non-veg items? Generally which one you prefer - veg. or non-veg?

I am responding to the discussion ,while i am eating baked fish. It is so delicious! I couldn't live wiout meat and fish, they provide essential protein ,animo acid and other nutrition for our body growth. Some elements aren't contained in veg.Since we raise the pig, cattle, fish for eating and we give them lives, we have the right to eating them. Don't think too much.It is a circle. As long as we don't kill them to excess, the enviorment are still in balence.

Being an animal lover does NOT mean that I don't eat meat. It would be too difficult for me to plan a balanced diet without any meat. God gave us fruits, vegetables, grains, and animal protein for our substance. In all cultures of which I'm aware, there are animals that may be pets and animals that are raised for food. This varies from culture to culture. The idea of eating a monkey is repulsive to me, but I understand that it can be a primary source of food in the jungle. I would fight anyone who tried to make a meal of my cat, but I understand that cats can be a delicacy in some oriental countries. It is all a matter of the culture in which one has been reared.

I love animals! There would be a ton of meat I would love to stop eating...but there is also some meat I love to eat. Slim Jims...YUM! lol. Love slim jims. Beef Jerky...love it! And there is one specific kind of Roast Beef I like. But I could live without steak, fish(hate fish), beef...anything like that.
But I really love animals, and I hate when people abuse/neglect them. I hate to see animals in pain! And I think that people who cause them pain have a special place reserved for them in...well...down there! lol.

I love animals, I respect them, but I have to eat my meat. I'm an omnivore as most humans were born as. I don't bash anyone else's beliefs but I believe if we have the teeth for it, digestive tract and so on we are meant to eat meat. I am thankful for the animals that give their lives for us though, I respect them in all ways.
