Do you use any textliner or textflash when reading?

textliners - I love fluorescent textflash and orange textliner to do the markings on my books while reading. These two colors are striking and make the highlighted items more conspicuous.

I like using texliner to mark the new words, good phrases, sentences or even a meaningful whole paragraph directly on the pages when reading. It is easy for me to get reference whenever I need. So I like to keep all those books I had read. I love using the fluorescent textflash followed by the orange textliner to do the markings on my books. I find these two colors are striking and could make the highlighted items more conspicuous. Do you leave any marking on your books when reading? What is your favorite textliner color? Why?

Hie Ikbooi, I just love those fluorescent colours and so handy. I used them a lot when I was studying ( bought all the colors, I think ) and now on occasions but if I doodle I like to add some colors...hahha. I know it's so wasteful doing that than being too bored when I see those vibrant colors. I still use them in marking important details in books, articles, etc. And adding some creativity in greeting cards, card tags. Now they come in all sort of shapes and even for children too, in small sizes - shorter than the length of lipstick and cute cartoon pictures on the pens. My favorite would be the pinkish red - so vibrant and catchy, nice color. Hope in future they would come up with something like 3 or 4 colors in a pen, that will very nice indeed.

You are very much welcome my friend. I tend to lead easy life and like easy and fast ways of lifestyle. I'm rather inspired by your feeling. The hectic lifestyles of people nowadays might not be so friendly towards the earth. I always try my best to be environment conscious so that we could have a healthy living condition. I admire those creative artistic people who have their unique and wonderful talents. Happy posting and take care.

Hi Desierra, I do love those fluorescent colors especially the lemon yellow and the orange ones as they are so striking. Yeah they are handy as well so we could bring them along whenever we do our reading at anywhere. It’s just nice for you to amuse your with those textliners of fancy and vibrant color to keep you away from boredom. Besides, I notice my nieces and her classmates are fond of using these to create attractive piece of arts in greeting cards as well as in their graduation class albums. You are really creative and just have such idea to think of a tiny size textliner with multi colors which is quite useful and handy. Thanks for your response and have a wonderful day.

Thank you for the compliments. Lots of things are in dual- 2 in one ... 3 in one..etc as people are getting for complicated and having hectic lifestyles. And prefer things that are easy, fast and 'disposable'. I for one tend to like creativity and in awe what artistic people can come up with. Have a good day and Cheers,

Hi friend lkbooi, these days I rarely read books. But when I used to I always had a textliner - we call it highlighter. Same as you I like orange or flourescent colours. I still have one that I highlight my bible with. Sometimes I read a very touching verse in a bible and would like to read it again at later days so I make sure its well highlighted and bookmarked.

I use it during work. I am dealing with test programs, and need to keep track of the changes from time to time. So I print out all the test condition and specification and keep it in the files. I use the text flash (Stabilo Brand) to high light the changes that had been made. In such a way, I could spot easily the difference from one version from another.

I have experienced that too. The ink is too light and sometimes it's hard to tell if I have hilighted it or not But I think Stabilo is not bad in quality. At least, it's reliable so far. Right, keeping precise record and accurate program change is my duty. If mistakes is made, then I would have hard time to clear up all the mess later on. So, the textliner is a good friend in recognizing the changes accurately.

Indeed, Stabilo is really a popular and reliable brand of its stationeries and writing tools. Of course the prices of its quality products are rather expensive as well. Anyway it’s worthy to pay a little more as it doesn’t cause much trouble when using it. I think it’s better for you to do the highlighting with textliners of cool color to lessen the tiredness while checking the records you had made. posting and take care.

Yeah, there are certain brands of text flash or text liner available in the hypermarkets here. Well, the Stabilo Brand is very popular in our place. I had tried a cheaper one once and found that it was a bit watery and left some oil marks on the pages after using it. You have made your printed test programs easier as you could spot the differences by the highlighting. Thanks for responding and have a nice day.

Hi diansinta, now I know very well that pink and blue liners found in your books are all the cream of your content in the books. You have done a good job in the study of books. Hehe... I use the yellow one most of the time and I hope it won’t hurt my eyes anyway. Thanks for responding and have a sweet time.

i like the neon yellow textliner. here in my country, we call it highlighter or highlight pen. back in college, i used these pens a lot when studying or reviewing for exams. whenever i read good books, i like to have one handy too, to highlight the phrases i like or want to remember or quote. now that i've no more time to read, i sometimes browse my old books and appreciate the highlights i've mad way back.

Yeah chari, during those old school days we used to highlight those important or favorite items with textliners with our favorite colors on our exam reference books or notes. In those days we called them magic pens. By using the tools of course would make our study much easier. When reading I use textliner as well depending on what types of books they are. If for leisure reading I normally don’t do any highlighting. Thanks for responding and have a nice time.

For reading paper books only we could use the textliner to do the highlighting for the important and favorite parts of the reading content. It is quite convenient for us as we don’t have to spend much time searching around when doing revision. Thanks for responding and happy posting.

I am glad to know that your eyesight is still very good for your age. I envy you very much as I couldn’t do my reading without any eyeglasses since young. Yeah, by using bookmarks we could find the pages we want rapidly and need not to leave any marks on the pages concerned. Thanks for responding vanities, and have a nice day.

Hi che, those thoughtful phrases and sentences are really worthy to be highlighted as they are cream of the content. So what you concern most is to search for those marked with orange. Anyway your way of highlighting is plain and simple as you use only a single particular color. Happy posting and have a nice day.

The only book that I tend to highlight in is my Bible that I use for church. I will mark versus in the Bible that the sermon for the Sunday pertains too! I don't have a particular color that I use, though I have used green, orange, blue, yellow and pink in my Bible. And I don't have any color coordination to it, just what I have that is working at the time.

Hi terri, I believe you love the verses of the bible which you’ve highlighted very much as you could refer to them conveniently whenever you want to do so. It’s just nice for you not to worry about the choice of color when doing your marking. This could make us feel more relaxed when reading as we could use whatever color available. Thanks for the response and happy posting.

Hi marketing, very well, your cool favorite colors won’t strain our eyes so much as the hot colors red and orange do when reading. Cool colors like green and blue are kind to our eyes as they are rather soothing. Happy posting and good luck.

I do have a pack of various colors of six, namely lemon yellow, green, blue, red, orange and violet. I find the violet color is quite dark and is suitable for underline words only. The colors I use more frequently are lemon yellow and orange as they are bright and attractive indeed. Thanks for sharing eagle and have a nice day.

The only book that I ever mark or highlight in is the Bible. There it is for the purpose of making notes and highlighting passages. Florescent yellow is the color I prefer, but only certain ones will work and not bleed through.

Well, florescent yellow is a light and conspicuous color which could attract our attention easily. I like it as well, as we still could read the highlighted words clearly after applying it. From your words, I believe you have really made a serous study on the bible. Thanks for your response jer, and have a nice day.

Hi ina, earlier we used only pen and pencils to mark the important or favorite wording in our books or notes and these marking were found rather monotonous. But nowadays there are lots of varieties of textliners with various types of colors. Wow! You have so many colors and I do feel the fun if I were to have the chance to read your books with those lively multicolor markings. Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

Hi there lkbooi! I used to use highlighters when I was actively reading the bible. I highlight passages that I love and also when I was in college back then, I highlight important notes.

Yeah, nanayangel, highlighters really could help us a lot while reading. We could find out the passages we love easily from those highlighted parts from the bible, as well as those important marked notes from the books studied in college. By this way we can save lots of time and wouldn’t miss any favorite and important parts that we have chosen. Thanks for responding and have a nice day.

Hi sun2day, you have a good habit when come to reading. I remember when I was in my secondary, one of my language teachers told in the class that the valuable book of a learned man was the book where we could see highlighted items, views, explanation and notes made on the pages by the reader, instead of a clean and decent book. Yeah, important parts highlighted with favorite color of textliners would make reading more interesting. It’s also easy and convenient for further reference. Thanks for your response and posting.
