Just wondering if you found out what gender your baby was going to be. I did. At my 20 week ultrasound, i just had to know! I really thought i would be dissappointed if I didn't have a boy and I wanted to prepare myself for the birth early if it was going to be a girl. I didn't want to be surprised with a girl when i wanted a boy.. lol.. that sounds mean, but it's what i was thinking.. I had a boy by the way:)

Nope, i didnt, iN my country, its a crime, coz if its a female, its an abortion..female infanticide...so i guess its good for such rulke to be implemented, but still after the female baby is born, they kill that infact mercilessly....well some of those criminals....so i didnt find out, nor any1 would tell.

Woah, that's terrible. Why is it considered a bad thing to mother a female baby?

I did =) and as you see by my profile pic here, she is a girl. At 16 weeks I thought she was a boy. She was covering herself, I craved salt and salty things constantly, her heartbeat stayed below 150 bpm. I bought neutral newborn clothing and supplies. At 20 weeks she turned upside down and uncovered herself. I started compiling a name list and got used to the idea that I was not having a boy LOL! We always planned on finding out, I'd have gotten another ultrasound strictly to determine gender if we didn't manage to find out at the second regularly scheduled one. My midwife actually referred us to a teaching clinic where it would be low cost or even free in order to get a level 2 ultrasound for growth and gender.

Very cute :) I simply had to know! My partner was so angry at me and didn't want to know lol. But i just didn't want to be disappointed. I didn't buy any clothes until i knew and still then i didn't buy much, my sister gave me most of her baby's old clothes. She has a 3 year old boy. So i get heaps of his stuff.

I've never had a baby but I think I would like to keep it a suprise. It wouldn't bother me either way, i guess it would be handy to know what you were having when it comes to shopping and decorating for the baby! It's understandable that you wanted to know and wanted to get the 'disappointment' out of the way early on! However if you had a girl I'm sure you would be equally as happy.

When I was pregnant with my first baby the hospital had the policy not to disclose the gender. I had a boy and he is now 13 years old. When I had my second pregnancy I went to a private clinic that told me I was expecting a boy. He is now 14 months old. I would dearly love to have a little girl and so if I do get pregnant again I would be nervous at the ultrasound appointment. In my home country people have an equal desire to have a boy or a girl. I think that I would love to adopt a Indian or Chinese baby girl that was unwanted. One day I would dearly love to have a little girl. I am pleased that you had a little boy.

I had 3 kids. During my pregnancy, I dont want to have an ultrasound to know the gender of my baby because I wanted to be surprised. I dont mind having a baby boy or a girl as long as its healthy, Im happy with that. Babies are blessings.

I just wanted to know and I am glad that I did, cause I think it helps you establish the relationship with your baby earlier. In my case my first baby was a girl and I just had to cry when I found out, cause it was the first girl in our family in a long, long time. My daughter was born nearly 16 years ago and she still continues to be the only girl, as her cousins are all boys!

the last time i was pregnant it was 18 years ago ..and ultra sound in my country was not yet a must for pregnant women ...and that i was not able to know the gender of my baby...but if given the chance..i guess i like the gender of my child not be known so that it will still be a surprise for me until it is born..

I did find out with my first 5. I wanted to be surprised with the 6th. I already had 3 boys and 2 girls and I was sure I was having a girl. I didn't go out and buy lots of pink or anything I just had a feeling about it. Well, I delivered boy #4 and the minute I had him in my arms I was completely in love with him and was so glad he was a boy instead of a girl. That's the way it usually works, your baby is your baby no matter what, disappointment over gender doesn't cross your mind at birth.

We didn't find out when I was pregnant the first time (my daughter). I just wanted my baby to be healthy no matter what the gender. When I was pregnant the second time we found out. I was hoping for a boy because I really wanted one of each and my second baby was a boy so I got what I wanted. But I would have loved my son just as much if he had been another girl.

I found out with me second that she was going to be a girl. My first, my son, was being shy on the ultrasound and covering himself, so I did not find out with him. I just knew he was a boy though and only had a boys name picked out.

Personally I chose to know the gender of all three of my kids. It made it easier for me to buy close ahead of time and let the family know so when they wanted to buy something for the baby they knew what colors to go by. I admire those people that wait because it is such a surprise for them.

I found out at 21 weeks, I was having terrible trouble deciding on a nursey theme and didn't like all the neutral ones ( i though it would end up looking too girly if i had a boy or too boyish if a girl). I was convinced it would be a boy but i was having a girl, took a couple of weeks to get my head around it but I am so glad I did! It was meant to be a secret from our families but the pink room kind gave it away!

Hi there Jessie Lee Page! I found out about my baby's gender on my seventh month of pregnancy through the ultrasound. I am very happy because I am wishing hard for a son and my prayers were heard and granted.
