However, what I will say is: 1 - As writers, we are often stuck with not having much money and so we need to be open to new opportunities. In response to your question, yes, but not as a bread and butter kind of work. Earning online can only be done as a sideline especially when you've only got started. If you really have the skill, like the girl who's now making money because she's selling blog templates, then you can probably expand your horizons and "open a shop" the modern way. Competition is tough though and you have to come up with a clever way to make your shop noticed. Bottomline, it is possible but generally (at least for me) a passive income only.
