The BEST Position For Hillary

The more I think about it the more I think the best position for Hillary Clinton and the one in which she could really have what I'd consider to be a positive impact would be Supreme Court Justice. At least we'd have someone on the highest court in the land that believes in our rights and in justice for all. What do you think? Annie

That's an interesting option, and in my opinion anything that keeps her away from the VP slot would be worth considering. I'm with the crowd that thinks she'll have some post regarding healthcare. Whatever it is, I really don't want to see her as VP candidate. I think it would undermine an Obama presidency. In fact, I saw an article that said that although they probably would be unbeatable in the general election, for them to run together would be like getting married strictly for passion - it would be great for the first few months but hellish after that because of the inherent incompatiblity. I'm actually not convinced that they would be unbeatable together, but even if I could be convinced of that, I would be unconvinced that they should serve together in that capacity. I saw another article that suggested that he should not name her as running mate, but have her as his unofficial partner in campaigning, or something like that. To apply the marriage scenario to that suggestion would sound like he was just leading her on, which feels wrong, and if he did do something like that I believe he would see a backlash from her supporters. I'll be interested to see when/if Michelle Obama says something about this subject again. The last thing I remember is a month or two ago when she was quoted in an unequivicable NO on the question of whether Hillary would be VP. If Obama really does get pressured into having Hillary as VP, then it would be interesting to see Michelle responding to that and interacting with Bill & Hill. Hmmm, Supreme Court Justice. I do think it's interesting, but I don't think it's feasible. For one thing, there would not be immediate gratification since one of the existing justices will have to die or retire for her to be put there. Also, it's not as visible as she probably wants to be. You don't see a lot of justices in front of the camera, and I can't imagine that would work for her. Still, the notion definitely got my attention. I'll be really interested to see where she does go. I for one and really hoping it's not into the VP slot.

Right after I responded to this discussion, I found a link on reddit about options for Hillary. http://www.eyesonobama.com/blog/content/id_19808/title_Obama-Has-Three-Options-for-What-to-Do-With-Clinton/ It didn't occur to me before that someone might be trying to hold on for a Democratic president in order to retire. Maybe Supreme Court would work... although they would need a huge majority to make it happen.

The best position would be out of the media. As a justice she would still be in it. Sigh...But I do think that would be a good call for her. Maybe house speaker?? Maybe- I'm on the fence with that one. Mainly, she annoys me and I would just like to see her go away. LOL
