A good listener is always a wise person

Hi ssh123! Neither do I have the patience to listen to nonsense also. I have much patience before and I could listen as much even on things that are nonsense and things that don't usually interest me when I was younger. But, when I got older and older, my patience to just listen diminished somehow. I guess, I feel that time flies so fast that if I listen to just anything especially nonsense, I am just wasting precious time. Take care and God bless!

maybe because we are human.we cannot compared to the bird!i am a good listener but depends to the topic is it is about politics sorry i dont like to listen hahaha but i know talking about politics is our future thats all they say..

*smiles* This is me for sure. I talk very little and am a good listener. That's what my friends believe. I kind of take in all drawls, grievances, rants and hurts of the loved ones. They come to me for advice. But, as you have said, it does get annoying to listen to people who would not change no matter what and only would complain day in and day out. Thanks.

it may be. but that person may be wise, but for sure listening is also part of active communication. you can only be active communicator when you listen actively and also talk effectively. i try to stick to it.

I think so because a good listener absorb the detail or words from the speaker it will transmit through the brains quickly. Yes it is true, the less he spoke the more ideas he have when he listen. Me, i am a listener more than a speaker. I like to listen to other people's problem and ask question when they are through and they i learned from them.

I think myself a pretty good listener. On most things I would much rather listen than to talk. You can find out much useful information just by being a good listener.

Once and even in this days when we say OLD we mean to an old person in age right!? But the truth is that how much more the person is OLD that much more he/she are wisdom.So there is much wisdom in your proverb.

I am always a good listener,when it comes to my friends, relatives and partner. BUt, like you when I'll encounter someone who talk with no sense, I can't see myself staying longer for the person..I can't stand to waste my time. So, it all depends on the situation,person and topic actually!

I am with you on that one. If it's foolish, don't talk to me and this is coming from a person who has a lot but only to a certain extent.
