how do u know whether ur in love or not?

I know it sounds like a cliche question but i would really like 2 know how i can make out whether i'm in love or what i'm feeling is just infatuation.But i feel great.Like i'm special and i feel like someone genuinely cares.but i am a very paranoid person so i find it really difficult to trust people.Can anyone jus outline what love consists of?Anyone with experience?
