This is a humorous poem about doing laundry. I am curious as to what people think of it. Thanks Laundry: A chore? There are few household jobs that actually come with pay. I'll share this info with you listen close to what I say. It may not be a secret, but just to reiterate some things we think are dull can turn into something great. Some people find laundry time to be nothing but a chore, but if you follow what I say it could be something more. Not everyone checks their pockets before laundry time, but they should you may want to check the pockets yourself for ruined clothes would not be good. You may even find some silly things a comb, some rocks or such but if you come across money say, "For the tip, I thank you much."

LOL! We have the rule around this house that whatever is found in the pockets during laundry day becomes the sole property of the person doing the laundry. I've had some pretty nice paydays from doing laundry!

I have too, but too many times I have just gotten rocks, baseball cards, etc. I have even washed and dried rocks. Somehow my kids can hide rocks and I don't even find them until I hear them rattling around in the dryer. At least, I am assuming my kids did it. Maybe it has been my husband putting rocks in his pockets this whole time and I have been blaming the kids. lol

LOL! Oh yes. I'm all too familiar with that tell-tale clackity clackity sound of rocks in the washer. You're right though. Seems like any more, I hear a whole lot more rocks and a whole lot less change. I think people finally got tired of coming away from laundry day with a thinner wallet than they started. Oh, and speaking of wallets. . . I can't count the number of times my loverly hubby has put his wallet through the wash. I think I could make a mint if I could figure out a way to make pictures waterproof.
