Have you ever felt too tired to shut off your alarm in the morning?

Just now, my cell phone alarm went off and I didn't even feel like moving. I wasn't asleep or anything. Just busy posting on MyLot and watching Project Runway on my mini-TV screen, which I always keep up while working online. Some mornings, I'm so tired, that I just ignore the alarm and roll over and go back to sleep. Most times, the alarm goes into sleep mode, so I don't have to deal with it. Then it goes off again, ten minutes later and wakes me up again. I use the alarm on my cell phone and not a traditional clock. Do you ever ignore your alarm when it goes off in the morning? Do you simply roll over and go back to sleep or get up right away and start your day?

Yes I have inored it a few times myself and rolled back over and feel back asleep. Espically if I knew I didn't have to go anywhere. I try to set my alarm to make sure I don't over sleep so I don't stay up to late the next night.

Yeah, oversleeping is the worst. Saturdays are my new day off from life. So, it was allowable today. I'm binging on TV shows today and hanging out with my kid. She's so cool!

Yep,you know studying too late makes me exhausted everyday, but I have to keep doing that .. Sometimes I do feel so tired that I just ignore the alarm and roll over and go back to sleep.

Yah most of the times. I am really very lazy person. This time I put my mobile (used as alarm) beside me so it would be easy for me to shut it off when it rings. But I see a problem with this arrangement. Having it beside me makes me find it easier to just reset it and go back to sleep again.

LOL... yeah I just let it ring --sometimes for hours even after I'm up! I just don't want to fool with it I guess...because I actually feel like going back to sleep. So I keep it ringing so that I won't be tempted to sit back down and doze off which has happened to me a few times before:-)

Yes, I ignore my alarm when I'm tired. I also use the alarm on my cell phone. There were even times when I totally didn't hear the alarm. I guess I'm that tired to even hear my alarm went on. But when I do wake up because of the alarm and I'm still too tired to move a muscle, I just ignore it and doze off again. Well, that is when I don't have plans for the day. It's a different story when I have plans or appointments and my alarm started ringing, I usually get up before the alarm even starts.

LOL!!! This is funny, I always set my alarm for 6:15 in the morning but hit snooze every 9 minutes until 7 am, when my boyfriend gets up for work in the morning :-P I have even gone as far as being so tired that I forget if I hit snooze in the morning LOL!!! :D I've even slept right through the alarm in the morning. Have you ever slept through your alarm clock in the morning? Sometimes I get so mad at myself when I do but then I feel better when I think that the only reason I slept through it was because I needed the sleep. Thanks for the post :D

I always feel very tired when the cell phone alarm go off in the morning. But i have to get up right away, otherwise i will be late for work.I do the same thing everyday:get up,go to work,go home,go to bed.this is my boring life, fortunately,i have my bf.Every morning when i don't want to get up,i tell myself you will have no chance to change your life if you go on sleeping anymore.i like the feeling after getting up,you will feel so clear of your mind, have the hope in your mind, have the confidence to go on for future. that's my life.

When the alarm clock go off, whether I will get up or go on sleep all depends on do I have work to do or not.

yes,in the morning it simply gets on my nerves to hear the ominous shrill of my alarm ,reminding me to get up!!! Although it is me who sets the alarm I simply can't muster enough willpower to rise early in the morning!!

I only set up my alarm when I am going to wake up in the morning to go to work otherwise I can sleep as much as I can during weekends. When the alarm rings I have to wake up to shut if off but sometimes I feel I want to sleep more. I can't do that as I will be late to work and certainly boss won't be happy. Unfortunately I cannot ignore alarm clock...it will wake me up and tells me I have to get up.

Oh I use the alarm on my mobile (cell) too - it is much better cos after it first goes off you can hold it in your hand ready to hit snooze next time it goes off again! I am no good at waking up full of the joys of a new day or of being full of energy and ready to face the day! I have been known in days past to sleep through the alarm altogether and not even notice! lol xxx

Hi beautyqueen , There have been many time I will just roll over and let the music keep playing ( that is what the clock is set to) I also will press snooze , and for some time let that keep happening . Some mornings I just can't shake that tired feeling.

I do that all the time! I let my alarm go off until I can not stand that annoying sound any longer.

I am a snoozer and a big one at that. Getting up early has never been my thing, I would prefer to just sleep until I can't sleep anymore. Whenever my alarm goes off, I always hit the snooze button that is set for another 10 minutes, and when that alarm goes off, I hit snooze again until I am at the point of near disgust at the snooze that I just get up afterwards. Most mornings I should be up by 6am, but with my snooze habit, I will find myself getting up at 7am, then I am in a rush to get things done. It's a bad habit that I should rectify, but all things in due time.
