how do you make it so nobody knows ur on facvebook

my friend has set her facebook so when shes on she wont appear to be on anywhere. she tried to help me figure it out and she could not igure it out. i really want to have my facebook set like this but i cant figure out how? Does anyone know how this is possible. also i dont mean just appear offline on the facebook messenger.
