Either the seat shrunk of my butt grew!

I was in a bind yesterday. My car was in the garage and the guy called late for me to pick it up so I had no ride there. I decided to jump on my daughter's mountain bike and ride over since it is only about two miles. Now mind you, I used to think nothing of riding my bike to work and back which was about 6 miles. It has been a few years, though and I am not in the shape I used to be in. Anyway, I woke up today and I am very sore. Not my legs but my behind. It even hurts to sit...lol. I know the seats haven't shrunk, although I would like to think they have, so it must be me. My question is when was the last time you rode a bicycle? Were you sore afterward if it had been quite some time? Or do you bike regularly? How far do you ride?

You are a good humorist! lol. I dont think that bike seat shrunk one inch. I guess you have not been on one in a long time, so that might have made the difference.

Thank you. Life is much easier when you can laugh through it by finding the humorous side of things. I haven't been on a bike for about 7 years so I figure it was exactly that.

They absolutely don't make bike seats the way they used to when we were kids! Either that, or our butts are now totally the wrong shape. I had to buy a seat with a gel insert a few years ago when I wanted to go riding ... the seat which came with the bike was pure agony.

I haven't ridden a bicycle in almost twenty years. I have really poor balance, so I'm unable to ride without "training wheels." Try finding a bike with training wheels for an adult. hahahahaha
