i went crazy without my computer for 2 days

the bad weather we have had caused major problems for my internet provider telstra{australia's leading provider} so they say.i was without the net for 2 whole days and it drove me bananas.they could not even tell us when it would be back on.i did not know what to do with myself,completely lost without having a chat on mylot.would you go crazy without your internet.cheers sue

I am with Telstra and did not had any problem... besides my extremely slow dial up connection of 21.6 all year around.
Are you on dial up or broadband?

hi aussie.i am on broadband.the exchange here at berkeley vale went down and about 290,000 customers were out,i suppose the central coast and hunter region.you are near bathurst,so you were probably lucky.its all the rain here that it went down.cheers sue

I lose my connection anytime it rains heavy and well its been raining on and off for weeks now so i know how ya feel lol.

Would I? Naw..As much as I love being online and as much as I AM online everyday throughout the day, if I were to be without internet for an extended period (and I have) I'd be fine..I do tons of other things as well so it'd be no biggie for me if it were for just a couple days or a week or so ya know.

No. I'm just really not into too much browsing and chatting online. Not so fund of going online to the internet. I do a lot of things at home. Internet is just for a spare time and hobby maybe. If I'm not in the mood to go online I try to find things that I can do at home and there are lots of them if you'll really just look into it. If I can't find anything, I asks my mom, she's got a lot of them! (lol)

yes i know there are hundreds of things i could have done but i do love chatting with all my friends here on mylot and when i am not around for a while i feel like i have been missing out of everything.i suppose all my mylotters have become a part of my life.cheers sue

I have experienced that one, but i guess mine is worst because it happened 3 days no electricity in the whole city after the typhoon. I went crazy really, i always think about my internet. i wanted to chat with friends and visit the websites i love most. So i praised God (as i do always) when the electricity went back..
