When can a country be claimed as a DEVELOPED COUNTRY

Am 24 now and live in INDIA.From the day i was born uptill now i have heard that India is a developing country.I just wonder what all considerations are made to judge whether a country is developed,developing or under-developed?
Please throw some light on the issue and help me

It's hard to make a perfect concept of developing country.But we couldn't distinguish countries by the GDP. From things that every citizen could share from the goverment, we can give a judge.
For example, China is a great country, but its GDP is not as large as its population, so we said that China is a developing country.
