Find out what features that she wants and go from there. If you don't know what she expects then it isn't going to matter what you get it is probably not going to be what she wants!

I had to select one for my wife. I selected one that used the same batteries and cards that I used in my camera. I also considered how she would be using it and bought a Kodak Easy share 713/813 series camera. Good pictures, easy to use and affordable.

i would go for sony digital cameras. i just love its quality and the sizes and colors that come with it. you should ask your girlfriend which size and color she want, after all she is the one who will use it. so for her to really like and enjoy it, ask he what she wants for her digital camera.
