What all precautions do you take to insure that your cats don't get fleas at this time of the year? Right now I have flea collars on my 4 cats (who do not go outside) but it seems like they are still scratching all the time.

I have had cats all my life.My indoor cats NEVER get fleas. I would never put a flea collar on any cat though. Some cats get very sick from flea collars.

Neither one of my cats go outside either. I have two kittens who are about 6 months old. I don't have flea collars on them though so far I have not had any problems. If I start noticeing problems I will proaly use advantage flea protection.

You should try Advantage or Frontline which are both monthly flea protection products. You squeeze the stuff in the tube on the cat's skin and it really works! Our cats are mainly outside cats and we're in Florida so flea season is all year long. My cats have had no fleas for the entire five years that we've been down here.
