I Swore

I swore to myself, when younger, that when I grew older I would never talk about the weather or the news. Now I wait for the news in the evening and sometimes throughout the day. The news can be interesting or difficult but I still make it a point to listen anyway. I listen for the weather report so I know whether to panic or not if we have tornado warnings. Is the news or weather part of your daily vocabulary?

Yes...95% of the time my tv is on the weather channel. I only keep it on for the noise anyway..sometimes it's not on at all! LOL....but I watch the weather all the time..and try to catch the new too.

Especially with the weather we are having lately, I want to keep on top of things by listening to the weather. My primary concern is the computer and refuse to leave it on in storms. Thanks for responding.

beautiful sun getting ready to shine - beautiful sunny day is on the way
Hello, I check the weather each morning when I go online . I also swore to myself when I was younger that I would not read Sunday's paper, or drink coffee. Now I am hooked to both . Life is funny like that sometimes.

If I don't listen to the news, I've missed something or atleast I think so. The weather is only a concern if we have tornadoes in our area or if my computer is on. You are right, life is funny. Thanks for responding.

I do like to see our weather and the weather where my daughter lives most days. In the mornings I watch the local news then I watch Good morning america on weekdays and then the local news and weather in the evening. I don't make it a point to watch the world news, heck the local news is depressing enough as it is.

I don't watch the world news either. Enough depressing news right here in our town. Weather example: it's sunny out now but we have severe storm warnings for later this evening and again tomorrow. Thanks for responding.

I do not normally watch the news or the weather on television. I will sometimes check the weather at weather.com if I am going to be out all day and I need to know if it is going to rain or something, but other than that no.

I do like to follow the weather. I lost one computer in major storms. We do have dial up so when the weather is bad, I disconnect it from the phone line and from the wall as well before I leave home. Thanks for responding.

I seldom look at the news or the weather unless I have some specific activity planned or there are severe thunderstorms on the way(which is a frequent occurrence). The news tends to contain a lot more news about what is wrong in the world than what is right.

The news can be depressing but it's reality, unfortunately. We've had our share of bad weather the last several weeks. When it storms, off goes my computer until it clears. Thanks for responding.
