I saw the movie named "Cloverfield" yesterday. I think it's a very good movie, the filming style they used was one I'd never seen before and this was also what made the movie so special. Although I'm not quickly in fond of fiction movies, I enjoyed this one untill the end. Really a beauty in his genre: 4/5 stars.
And what about you? Did you see Cloverfield already? If yes, what do you think of it? What are your likes or dislikes? Share them with us...

I had followed this movie since last summer. It was the first movie that I have ever 'played along' with. The marketing for it was genius. And so it the movie. Most people don't realize that the information about the movie itself had been adressed online. You just have to know where to look. Most people I've talk to have know idea where the monster came from. I told them to do their homework. I also know all about the company Rob was leaving to work for. Apparently that company knew about the sea creature. If you want to know more, do some research.

I didn't know there was information to be found online about the different parts of the movie. Where did you look to find it - at the movie website or?? Would you be willing to share where you found all of this info? Thanks!

I really enjoyed this movie for what it was supposed to feel like - an amateur home video that happens to capture a monster attack in the city. I was satisfied with the ending, even though I know it bothered some people that there wasn't a definitive conclusion, but if it is supposed to remain true to the feel of the movie, how could a home video have a concrete ending? I didn't have any expectations going into the theater so I didn't realize that there would be a lot of jerky movements with the camera. That said, I sat in the middle of the theater, which was way too close because all the shaking made me nauseous and gave me a raging headache. I had to watch the last half of the movie out of my peripheral vision. Regardless, I still enjoyed the premise and would highly recommend this movie!

Thank you! I love watching movies and it's great to see movies introduce different camera styles. If you liked the format of this movie, I'd recommend watching the foreign horror film .REC - it's filmed very similar to Cloverfield and it's about zombies, with Spanish subtitles.

The shooting is what made the movie so special, without the first person perspective it wouldn't be the same and probably I would like the movie less.
Thanks for your opinion.

i loved Cloverfield. it was not the first movie I have seen in that style but it was the first I have seen with such good special effects and i loved that you never knew quite what was going to happen next. Heard that there might be a sequel!

I did not like the movie Cloverfield I found it to be very boring. It seemed like one of those low budget films. I fell asleep and didn't even finish watching it.
