anyone ever play text adventure games??

before the days of competitive game companies and technology, we played text adventure games. go n, s, e, w; inventory, drop, take, look, examine, etc. usually the goal was to get out of somewhere. anyone else play these?

I remember playing Full Throtal which had alot of text, although there were little sections that broke off without text. I like these types of games though, despite being somewhat dated
