Can you feel it? everything is hard now. Price increase and salary no increase. It such a hard life to live on. I'm just glad there is mylot where we could share out burdens and hear from others for encouragement of how they survive too. Please share.

Yes I can feel it. The hardships of life are currently drowning me like a concrete block would. It is hard to stay afloat these days. Times are certainly strange. I went to buy rice today, only to find that there is apparently a world wide shortage of rice so only very expensive brands are available in small quantities. Rice is a staple in our house. It is (was) one of the few affordable and filling foods that my children will eat. I too am grateful for my time here at myLot as it constantly reminds me that I have much to be thankful for. Sure I might not be able to buy rice, but my home has not been shattered by an earthquake, or washed out by flood as others have been. I survive by appreciating all that I have rather than dreaming of more.

I am so sick and tired of the price of airfare!!! It's nuts!!! My husband works in the USA, and I'm currently in canada, and we do a lot of travelling back and forth. There are also a lot of foreign students here at the University of Guelph, and I think they have enough to pay with tuition. Come on, lower airfares, please!!!

It's impossible to lower the airfare when the gas is too high now. I just hope it will go down in a few months. Thanks for the reply.

life is very hard right at the moment...things are so expensive such as food and gas and especially when you are on a fixed income (my hubby and i only work part time) so we have to be very careful with our money!

that's right!! well, when you have no kids, that is just fine even if you are working only part time.. but for us who have children in school? oh!! even if both of us have full time job, our income is not enough for our needs. We are always overdraft. Anyway, We just have to be careful with our spending.

actually things are difficult these days especially we from the developing part of world where we buy water like they buy fuel and gas. i do spend over $5 a day on water not to talk of gas, fuel and kerosine. We have bad government, they are collecting tax from our small salary but nothing is being done to improve our living condition. Infact God will help us!

The news is not painting a pretty picture of what is going on right now. Things are going up with no relief of when they will be going down. Or even looking like it will be going down. There will be more to come. This is just the beginning of what people can expect to see more of. More bad news and nothing to relieve what is happening.
