Update to child Support situation......

As a lot of you know I started a discusion yesterday about how my child support stopped with no warning. Well here is the update. After much investigation on my part (all morning and afternoon on the phone all long distance) I have found out that he has quit his job. I have reported it so the wheels are in motion. I *67 called his house and he is sitting on his b*** at home and has not worked since May 16 by my calculations. So he has had three weeks to find a new job and he has not. he owes $25,000.00 in back support not to mention the three weeks he is behind again. I can see this is going to be a lifelong battle to get this support out of him. I am just tired of it all but too mad to let it go. He thinks that once our daughter turns 18 next month then all this disappears ......he is not too bright.

wow.. I am in the beginning stages of a child custody battle myself-- fortunately my state is a bit aggressive with retrieving the dues so I no longer have to handle the father directly. It still is such a battle both with helping my child cope and being civil to him when he comes around to see her.

These situations are never easy on any of the parties involved. It is a shame that a lot of fathers don't think they have to support their child.I think in their mind they feel by giving you money it is giving YOU money. Not thinking that know matter what it is going to his child. It is a hard situation all around, the best thing both parents can do is get along and still raise their child together as best they can.Not be negative towards one another and keep the piece for the child's sake. Then there is the times that the parents can't see eye to eye and work against each other.Never having been in this situation it is hard to give advice.I can only say a prayer and hope for he best for all of you. Good luck, Jas

Our daughter called him last sunday to wish him a happy fathers day and he lied to her. She asked him if he had to work that day (she was fishing for information all on her own she is 17 years old)and he said no he had the day off. He doesn't have a job. She is so mad at him.

Hopefully you are getting somewhere. It does not disappear. He will pay until you have it all. Good luck on getting it.

I am gettng nothing as of yet. I need to call again this week to get an update on what is going on. I try to stay on thier butts so that they don't forget about my case when it is a silent voice among thousands. I try to be a squeaky wheel.

Uh he owes ALL of that back support every penny of it. He will continue to owe it till it is ALL paid. It doesn't matter if it takes 1,2,or 30 years it will never go away. She is homeschooled and the state of FLorida does not recognize that when it comes to child support so she will be emancipated in July but he will still owe the back support and they will still go after him for it. She does not plan to go to college. Her father will still owe his back suppport even after she turns 18 and the only thing that can change that is if he pays the whole $25,000.00 that he owes LOL like that is ever going to happen.
