Has anyone watched this movie. I think this is one of first the movies I have ever watched where I was not sure if I liked it or not. A couple of times I thought this is the end..but it wasn't. I was at times surprised at how gory it was, If some thing happened like this to one of your children would you have taken the same vengeance? Here is the Neflix synopsis: Kevin Bacon stars in this dramatic thriller from director James Wan (Saw) as Nick Hume, a grieving father who decides to take the law into his own hands after his son Brendan (Stuart Lafferty) is senselessly murdered during a holdup. Based on author Brian Garfield's novel and adapted for the screen by Ian Jeffers, this gut-wrenching tale also stars Kelly Preston, John Goodman, Aisha Tyler and Garrett Hedlund.

This movie shocked both my husband and I, and we watch gory movies all the time! (I'm more into them than he is) But we were not expecting this from a Kevin Bacon film. It is probably a bit over the top, but I think it's trying to really push how strongly a parent can feel about getting revenge when one of their children is murdered in such an unthinking, unfeeling fashion. I don't believe I would go so far as what he did but you never really know until you experience the emotion for yourself (hopefully something none of us will ever have to experience).

The violence looked great, slick, but the movie itself was really stupid, corny, and illogical with horrible dialog.

I haven't seen the film, but knowing how the Saw movies are I can understand your reaction. Life can be extremely complicated at times and there are many gray areas. Different people have different priorities and ideas of right and wrong. Some people just like to explore the extremes of life.
