Today, at the first event on his "Change That Works for You" tour, Barack Obama introduced John and Elizabeth Edwards and announced, "I'm going to be partnering up with Elizabeth Edwards - we're going to be figuring all this out." http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/06/obama-elizabeth.html While his former rival, John Edwards, had endorsed Obama several weeks ago Elizabeth, who is battling cancer, had remained neutral but had stated she'd liked Hillary Clinton's health care plan better than Obama's because it included everyone. What are your thoughts? Please, let's keep it friendly and civil because I know health care is an issue many of us feel very passionately about for various reasons. Annie

Who cares! Elizabeth Edwards is going thru some personal health issues which could have a positive affect on the health care package. Do you think Obama is really going to use her ideas? Let's be honest with ourselves. Candidates are going to do or say whatever it takes to get elected. Sad but true. Obama figures that Elizabeths health issues will benefit him by making it look as if he is taking advice from someone in the political arena, she has a close relationship with the public, and she is suffering from cancer. Its unbelievable how low people will go. I hope I am wrong and Elizabeth is able to give some good insight on the healthcare plan of the future. dl
