There was a gag show in our country. The show lured unexpected audiences to witness a new invention a microwave that could cooked a chicken in 3 minutes. the host, the supposed inventor, as well some of the audiences were accomplices knowing too well whats gonna happen but the majority of the audiences were unscripted visitors. The show went with the demo of the said microwave, the inventor asked a chicken to be put in and be cook. Of course as the script went the microwave exploded and the inventor pretend to be dumbstruck. All of the audiences knew that it was being tape for commercial advertisement or so that's what they thought, what they didn't know was that they were the show. The inventor pretended so as not to be put to shame about his invention, offered 500 bucks to the unexpecting audience to say that the invention worked and to say it in front of the camera. Majority if not all of the unexpecting audiences raised their hands for the offer. it looked funny on TV, because we know that they're lying to their face. They say that it worked, it safe and it can do what it is expected to do even they know about the incident. It's funny and yet it's not! what if its true and not a gag show? they are willing to lie to the public for 500 bucks? Was that how cheap the truth is to them? And it scared me sh!tless on how they were willing to do it with out remorse or regrets. What do you think? Would you do what they did if they offered you money to lie about a machine that's not working and worst downright dangerous?

Yikes! I'd like to say that I would definitely not do this. But I probably wouldn't have the patience to go sit in on an infomercial in the first place. That could be a very dangerous lie and one that I wouldn't want on my conscience!

yes. you're right. i can't imagine myself lying in front of the camera deceiving hundred of thousands or even million of people for a buck or two about a defective item.

I don't think I would be able to do something like that. I guess the money could be tempting to people, but I would just not feel right doing something like that. I guess it isn't too surprising that some of the audience would be willing to take the money, but I am kind of surprised that so many of the people would be willing to go through with it. I would just feel too guilty and wouldn't be able to accept the money.

your thoughts are the same with mine. I mean what if the situation is true? what if the inventor would really push through with the deception? Would they hold themselves responsible if people die of electric shock or fires caused by it

I think it's sad that people get their kids out o doing things that are dangerous.
